![]() ![]() The vertical shackle is a design feature which allows closed shackle locks (such as the Squire SS50CS and SS65CS) to hang tidily, making the padlock and staple much more difficult to attack than a hasp with a horizontal staple. The 12mm thick staple makes the unit ideal for use with high security closed shackle padlocks, which makes it virtually impossible for a thief to attack either the shackle on the lock or the hasp staple, but the hasp can also be used with open shackle padlocks if preferred. The supplied M8 coach bolt fixings are through bolts to defeat crowbar or lever attack, while the fact that they are concealed when the unit is in the locked position protects the fixings themselves against direct attack. Much tougher than most of the other hasps on the market, this unit is manufactured from 5mm thick laser-cut steel plate, with the hardened staple formed from 12mm thick steel, making it a major deterrent to sawing and drilling attack.Īs you would expect with a hasp of this quality, the hinge pin is welded top and bottom to defeat pin-removal attacks. The staple is hardened and the whole unit is designed to suit higher-security closed shackle padlocks as well as being compatible with a wide range of open shackle padlocks. The PD SHHS1 heavy duty, high security hasp & staple, features fully-concealed bolt-through fixings on both sides and has achieved Sold Secure approval, CEN4 rating and Police approval (under the ACPO Secured by Design scheme). ![]()
